Our Handcrafted Buddha Statues
Discover a selection of authentic Buddha statues, hand-carved in Indonesia, primarily in Bali and Java.
Each piece is the result of craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. In renowned villages like Ubud or Mas, artisans patiently sculpt noble materials, especially Suar wood, to create unique pieces.
Each statue reflects meticulous work, where details, textures, and expressions make every piece truly singular.
The Uniqueness of Each Piece
Each Suar wood statue is hand-carved from a solid block of wood. This artisanal process ensures a solid, durable, and entirely unique piece.
Suar wood, also known as Rain Tree wood, is a tropical wood native to Southeast Asia, very common in Indonesia. It stands out for its spectacular natural grain, with contrasts in shades ranging from light brown to deep brown.
Its irregular veins, warm nuances, and slight natural variations make each sculpture different. No two statues are identical: this is what makes these pieces so rich and authentic.
The Materials
- Suar Wood: A solid tropical wood known for its robustness and longevity. It offers rich and lively grain, making it a prized material for artisanal sculpture. Naturally dense, it resists time well while retaining a beautiful visual warmth.
- Solid Brass: A durable metal, cast and then hand-worked. Its weight and patinated finish give it an elegant and authentic presence.
- Resin: A light and resistant material, allowing for precise finishes and a faithful rendering, ideal for certain decorative pieces.
Our Selection
We meticulously select each statue, prioritizing harmonious proportions, careful finishes, and genuine artisanal quality.
These are pieces designed to last, but also to bring a soothing and authentic presence to your home.
