Molten Glass on Gamal Wood: Balinese Artisan Pieces
The Art of Fusion: When Breath Meets Root
This exclusive collection is the result of exceptional thermal mastery in the workshops of Bali. Unlike industrial molded productions, each piece is based on a direct contact molding technique. The glass, heated to over 1000°C, is taken from the oven and then mouth-blown directly onto a selected Gamal wood root, chosen for its natural architecture.
During this brutal encounter between the incandescent glassy material and the raw wood, the artisan must regulate the pressure of their breath to the second. The goal: for the glass to solidify by embracing the exact imprint of the wood's contours without consuming the root. As it cools, the glass shrinks slightly to perfectly bond with its support, creating a structural symbiosis that only individual work can achieve.
Radical Uniqueness and Organic Character
Because no two Gamal roots are alike, every object in this collection is numerically unique. The complete absence of a manufacturing mold guarantees a silhouette that no other customer will possess.

The Authenticity of the Gesture:
The manual work leaves and visual signatures characteristic of traditional blown glass. The presence of air bubbles trapped in the crystalline mass, slight streaks, or variations in density testify to the force of the breath and the movement of the tool. These marks are not imperfections; they are irrefutable proof of a handmade object, far from mass-market standards.
